Bolts are used for fixing and joining large pieces of construction timber, or to fix timber to stirrups and anchors. Hexagon head bolts are most often used for timber construction. For a flush fit, countersunk bolts are preferred.
We have bolts in a variety of sizes, including 75mm, 90mm, 100mm and 140mm. Bolt selection is not a decision to be taken lightly as it affects the structural integrity of your project. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff is always available to help you make the right choice.
At Narangba Timbers, our bolts that are suitable for your timber-related needs are:
- Dyna Bolts – Available in several finishes and head styles, this medium-duty general-purpose bolt made of carbon steel has a pull-down section integrated with it. This helps them ‘anchor’ effectively to masonry and concrete.
- Galvanised Cup Head Bolts – This round-headed bolt with a square under-head is commonly used in furniture, fencing, framing, retaining walls and other landscape projects. The galvanised coating makes them ideal for outdoor use and with treated timber. The square under head fixes the bolt to the timber and prevents spinning when it is being tightened.
